Once UPon A TIme

Once Upon a time, there was a man and a woman. Both had holidayed throughout Europe from Spain, France, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, and the Balearic Isles, but not together. One day they met and became good friends. As in all good fairy tales they fell in love, and together they explored more of Europe including Madeira, the Canary Islands, Italy, Monaco, and more.

The natural progression was marriage, and the man was given a simple task – book the honeymoon! He was briefed: hot, tropical, and something special. She wanted to feel it was more than just a holiday. The crucial thing was, that she didn't want to know where that destination would be until they got to the airport. Risky yes, exciting yes. Would he get it wrong? Maybe. . . 

And so, the honeymoon day arrived, the car picked them up and drove them to Heathrow. The woman waited with bated breath, she knew that the terminal they were in was for long-haul destinations. Which check-in counter would they approach?!

After two weeks of stunning scenery, wonderfully friendly locals, fascinating culture, elusive wildlife, and soft tropical sandy beaches, they fell in love again, not with each other, this time with the country. That country was . . . Sri Lanka. And they continue to live happily ever after.
