A jewel of an island that is overlooked by many, but waiting for you to discover its many treasures.
History, culture, wildlife, adventure, mountains and hills, unspoiled beaches fringed by palms and caressed by a perfectly blue, warm and inviting Indian Ocean – it has it all. Sri Lanka is an island that will touch all your senses.
From the moment you arrive at Colombo airport, you will hear the bustling city of Columbo traffic and brightly painted tuk tuks a-plenty, tooting horns, and the people of Sri Lanka, always eager to help and happily chatting with one another.
Sri Lanka boasts eight amazing UNESCO sites to see. From the tranquil, ancient Buddhist capitals of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, to the awe-inspiring majesty of Sigiriya’s rock fortress. At Dambulla, its cave temples reveal a stunning display of Buddhist art. Here, the sense of peace is almost overwhelming. From more recent times, the old colonial town of Galle and its impressive Dutch fortifications is now home to people of many beliefs, happily co-existing.
Among the many wonderful cultural sites, a visit to the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy is a must. Offer flowers to the Buddha, hear the chanting of monks and smell the heady scent of incense for a truly magical experience.
If you prefer, kick back and feel the soft sand between your toes on one of those stunning beaches and soak in the tropical sun. For the more adventurous, there’s surfing for beginners to intermediate levels and snorkeling is among the best you’ll find anywhere. You could even take a spectacular boat trip to watch for Blue Whales and Dolphins or stay on dry land to visit a turtle sanctuary and tickle a turtle (honestly, they love it!)
Time for tea? Then unwind on a train and enjoy one of the most scenic journeys in the world from Kandy up to the hill country of Nuwara Eliya, also known as Little England, due to its cool, moist climate. These perfect conditions help produce the many beautifully manicured tea plantations on the way. A tour around a tea factory to see how our favourite beverage is produced is fascinating. Tasting various teas while drinking in the dramatic scenery is a very satisfying way to complete your tour.
Head to one of the 26 national parks to see the sacred elephants of Sri Lanka (sometimes in their hundreds) roaming freely, living alongside the world’s largest concentration of Leopards, together with elusive Sloth Bears, huge families of Wild Boar, or the curiously named Barking Deer. Listen to the mesmerising songs of an incredible diversity of birds.
With a taste of its own, Sri Lankan cuisine is a blend of Indian, Indonesian, Portuguese, Dutch and British influences, full of coconut-infused fragrance, spice and a big flavour. Rice and curry in every combination (it’s an island, so the seafood is superb) are mouth-watering but try Kotu Roti, Dhal, Hoppers, or one of the many delicious vegetable dishes.
For those who love a round of golf and want to rejuvenate mind body and soul, Sri Lanka has 3 courses dotted across the Island, Colombo, Kandy and Nuwara Eilya all different yet all with breath-taking views.
It’s all here in Sri Lanka! What’s stopping you? Go and pack your bag!
We can arrange a Tour tailored to you. If you want more wildlife, less culture, or maybe more time relaxing on a stunning beach we can arrange it, then look no further. You tell us what you like and we’ll build it!

The best thing is that all flights, transfers, hotels, and excursions are in the price, so all you need to think about is your spending money.
Maybe you prefer to drive yourself? We can arrange that too, tuk-tuk or car; the choice is yours.
There is a mixture of hotels and villas across Sri Lanka offering something for everyone from Luxury to boutique. To really get up close to Sri Lanka's incredible wildlife, we can arrange a stay in a hut on the edge of a national park or even a tent inside the national park (go on, we dare you)
